  • March Kit Challenge (PixelScrapper) – Completed!!

So, I’ve been quite neglectful of the blog aspect of my Lenten challenge, but I have completed my first full digital scrapbook kit thanks to the March 2014 Designer/Kit Challenge over at . Using daily prompts to create papers and elements around our own personal theme was indeed a challenge, but I had a blast! This was such an awesome and inspiring challenge that I think I’ve found a new obsession. There are 5 kits included. Just click on the images to download. I left them in the original weekly subsets to make download sizes smaller. Feel free to use these files for your personal/professional or commercial uses. Credit is not necessary, but always appreciated. I’d love to see anything you make, so feel free to add a link to your completed work in the comments 🙂

    Happy Scrapping everyone!

  • Welcome to my new blog!

I decided that I’ll spend my break between semesters learning how to set-up, customize and run a blog. This endeavor also corresponds with my Lenten aspiration to create something new every day.  I’m a little behind on getting the blog going, but creativity has been flowing.

So far, I’ve created my first scrap kit, for the April PixelScrapper Blog Train.  (It was supposed to be a mini kit, but I went kind of crazy!) I was able to finally edit it down to 10 papers and 24 elements. If I included everything I made, it would be ridiculously huge! Here are the previews:

I’ll post download links to grab these free kits on April 1 along with a link to jump on the train!

I’ve also been taking part in a Designer Challenge at PixelScrapper.com to create another kit, one piece per day for the month of March.  I struggled with the color palatte, until I stumbled upon the 2014 Spring Fashion colors, some of which reminded me of the 4 pieces of sea glass sitting on my desk.  For the first two weeks of this challenge, we’ve been creating papers using various daily prompts.  I’m guessing that week three, which starts tomorrow will include prompts for elements…so excited!!! Here are the previews for the papers I’ve created in the first 2 weeks…

I’ll be posting the download links for these sometime this weekend…as soon as I figure out where I’m going to store them for download.

In addition to all these scrappy creations, I have been working on a Pinterest inspired woven broomstick lace scarf and I have put together several scrapbook inspired web pages for the RayesDesign Tour Page Playground. I also just finished a new league set design for the Knights of Canasta which should go live either tonight or tomorrow night. Can’t wait to see it up and running on their MyLeague Page!

My next task will be to make this blog page pretty! I think that brings everyone up-to-date on my creative endeavor…not that anyone knows this blog exists yet, but I’ll be correcting that in the very near future!

Happy scrapping & happy tours (for my league friends)
