Today is the seventh of my “30 Days of Gratitude” daily gratitude journal quick page give away. If you’ve just found this, in the celebratory spirit of DSD, I have re-enabled the links to all the earlier daily give-aways and they will remain active until Monday, November 9th, so it really isn’t too late to grab the earlier daily downloads. Each day in November, I’ll be offering a print-size (8.5×11) quick page with a writing prompt, which at the end of the month will become a 30-page gratitude journal. Well, this is a little of a challenge for me, since in my present circumstances, I don’t have much of a specific daily routine anymore. My sleep schedule has always been jinkie, but throw chronic pain and migraines into the mix along with the injections and treatments to try to minimize and manage these ever present facts of my life, and suffice it to say, I no longer have any symblance of a schedule. My only real routine comes in cooking dinner each evening for my parents. Thanks to food allergies (my own and my dad’s) menu planning is often a challenge, but one that I find quite rewarding most of the time. I love to cook, and I love to experiment in the kitchen, trying to turn comfortable, unhealthy food or long time favorites that we can no longer eat into healthier, non-allergy-triggering alternatives. So, today, I’m thankful for a kitchen to cook in, my ability to experiment (usually successfully) and my love of cooking to provide comfort and nourishment to myself and my family.
I hope you’re playing along and will continue to gather gratitude with me throughout the month of November.
Happy Scrappin’ Ya’ll
